Frequently Asked Questions

What type of worship service can I expect at the NCLP churches?

Our worship would be considered “traditional”. We use the Evangelical Lutheran Worship (ELW) hymnal and change settings seasonally. Our congregations follow a common liturgy each week.  You will find that each of our congregations express this liturgy in their own unique way.  We also will hold special themed services throughout the year, including joint parish worship.

What time is worship?

On Sunday mornings we meet at St. Paul’s-8:15 am    Samuel’s-9:30 am    Messiah-11:00 am.

These may change when we have a special joint worship service.

What about Holy Communion, Can anyone participate?

We celebrate Holy Communion each Sunday.

All Baptized Christians are welcome to recieve the true body and blood of our Lord Jesus Christ.  If you do not wish to recieve we do invite you to come and recieve a blessing.

All children are welcome at the Lord’s Supper.  Parents decide when their own children are ready to recieve Holy Communion or may receive a blessing. First communion classes* are offered to provide further instruction of this holy sacrament.

Begin by contacting our Parish office at 814-926-2215 or [email protected]

We will let you know what dates are available on our parish calander.

For a wedding, you will be in contact with our Pastor about pre-marital meetings.  Ideally you would contact us at least 6 month in advance.  You do not need to be a member of our Parish.

For other events (birthday parties …) there is a building use form that must be completed with our office.  We do have fees for the use of our buildings and grounds.  Please contact us for up-to-date information.
